Does anyone know if anyone makes a rigid rear parcel shelf that would fit in place of the flimsy one supplied?

A tonneau cover or a rear shelf - they are entirely different things.

It may be possible to reinforce your existing shelf or have one made to suit. Many ICE providers are usually good at such.:)
