how do you know when the steering rack bushes need replacing. also has anyone changed the rear trailing arms or any other bushes and noticed a difference

not sure about the steering rfack bushes - don't think they have ver been done on mine.

The rear trailing arms have been done and need done again to tighten things up but getting hold of polybush type stuff is like hens teeth.

I have had the whole suspension set replaced with standard T ones 80,000 miles ago and it did make a difference cos the back end felt as if it was parting company!

I reckon the bushes last about 80,000 miles, as the car has 176k miles on it now.
