anyone any ideas why in a race with

astra sxi 1.6 and seat cordoba 1.6 si my 2.0 import

didnt leave them standing and seemed to be powered equally to them?

im utterly baffled! got the blitz induction but standard backbox, ma mate reckons engine needs bigger backbox,

im still convinced that toyota done something to restrict it!.

should it bounce off the limiter at 7000revs

These cars are not quick off the mark... once they get up to the mid rage rpm is when they come alive...

My Celica used to feel really sluggish off the line and seemed to take an age to build up the revs..the gearing is pretty long as well which does not help much...

I could hit about 40mph in 1st and just under 60mph in 2nd...

Man i cant wait to get a MR2 tubby... drove one again on Saturday... and i know why i dont miss my celica as much now.. lol

I'm betting that your car weighs a fair bit more than their's do.

You might find that the BHP per Tonne figures are very similar even though you have more BHP Overall.

The rev limiter is set at 7000 rpm. You shouldnt hit the limiter this will slow u down quite a bit. Change just before the limiter cuts in.

I too have an import celica GT-R,i've tried a bigger back box didnt really make any difference except for noise.

If it's auto it will be slower as well.

Have you tried URL=http://www.celicaclub.co.uk ?
