I ready some where about an autolock feature for the prius that could be programmed. (doors lock when the vehicle move or ignition on)

Trouble is wife went to Toyotas today and they said it could not be done.

Does anyone have any further info on this, the prius is about 2 weeks old.

Thanks,

Dave

Sadly this feature is not available on UK spec Prius cars. I too was interested in this, the lock on driveaway or lock when moving out of park. Toyota UK appear to have decided that these features are not needed here, bless them. Just make sure you ask the garage to disable the continuous warning beep when in reverse.

Thanks Batsran,

Audible bleeps removed today, cant believe it has them inside driving you crazy.

Ohwell with have to do my own autolock if the wife persists.

Just pulse the lock control from an ignition source. Obviously with the right hardware in between.

Can't you use the door lock button on the driver's door console? would that suffice? (Assuming GenIII is the same as GenII)
