Brake Overhaul Guide

This is the guide to strip overhaul and rebuild the brakes on a corolla t sport. This will pretty much apply to any corolla. This includes the upgrade to Braided Brake hoses.

1. Locate the brake master cylinder. Take the cap off and put a plastic sandwich bag under the cap and then refit the cap. This will reduce the spillage of fluid if you are taking the calipers off or if you are fitting braided lines. If you are just fitting braided lines you can skip a few steps

2. Here's a picture of some of the tools you'll need, brake hoses clamps, breaker bar, brake spanners

3. Remove the wheels

4. Undo the brake union on the caliper to be removed, its a good idea to put a tray underneath to catch fluid. Bin the gasket and buy new ones.

8. Using a suitable diameter rod, push the brake piston out, I used a 1/4" extension from my ratchet set.
