Hi Guys..

I have a weird question.

Lately, when i have been starting the engine..whether its cold or hot, it starts no problem, however I can hear water running through the pipes like a bubbling noise. I have no idea what it is, I have done a search on google, but didnt know what to search for as 'bubbling water through pipes' didnt really help.

Any help on this will be fantastic.

Thanks

I got the garage to drain it and refill the system as it was due a service - according to mechanic it's common on a Gen 7 Celica

I had the same problem, my rad was leaking and air was finding its way into the system. I changed the rad and refilled the system but its not easy as the heater matrix is higher than the expansion tank. I massaged the main pipes to and from the rad aswell as the pipes going into the heater matrix while the engine was running and eventually the air bleeds out through the exapnsion tank. You'll see because the coolant in the tank will bubble and drop. You'll know when the air is all out as the heater will blow hot again and hopefully no bubbling sounds.

Another way is to disconnect the outlet pipe from the matrix and reattach it when the coolant starts to come through.

Hope this helps
