Anyone Had Any Issues With T Sport's Gearbox

My car has been with toyota all week, not had it long basically the clutch pipe that runs across the gear box had fractured causing loss of pedal, Toyota said to me it has had a part thats non gen but its off an auventus that is like a box shape that sits on top of the gear box unsure on what it is exactly. The clutch pipe has been made up but its a japaneese pipe but not toyota, this was also rubbing on the engine loom, which didnt do any damage. They replaced the pipe's and this part, but.

Got the car back today the clutch pedal at low and high revs is making a wining sound, and you can feel it threw your foot as you depress the clutch pedal, to this toyota said they looked into this and theres no tech docs for this or any information about a modification they are basically saying that it could be the the 'ball in side of the box' ( unsure what they mean but i guess the clutch release bearing) im just wondering if anyone else has come across anything like this before, its obvious that someone has worked on toyota's before and knew what they was doing with it and was trying to hide it.

does it feel like a rough bearing feeling when you depress the clutch at high revs? if so then id bet on it being release bearing. mine does it. going to change it tomorow.

yea i tell you something what they done previously is a right bodge job but it was very clever i will give them that, where i purchased the car from a month back paid for the pipe repair contacted them earlyer and they just said to take it back there monday and get toyota to contact them, and i will just turn round and say you can deal with who ive got the car from im not willing to pay for the bill. There is a place in birmingham that ive used a couple of times and many of my friends have used them and they just specialise in clutches charge like £200 roughly, cant fault them yet

another update really, went to another toyota garage near to where i purchased the car from sat morning they had a quick look for me as i just poped in and said i was coming from the service station and it just made this noise, they come back and said gear box bearings, i went to where i purchased the car from and had there ex toyota tech listen to it he also confirmed this the garage said i will have to ring them tues and they will sort something out for me, its going to be an expensive job but hopefully they will pay all of it for me, im looking forward to go back to my local toyota dealer and tell them they was wrong and for it to fix the problem, im unsure if i should kick off the problem has got worse its harder to get into 3rd gear now than before, or just let them to do the job then say something they also said my tyres was 4mm on the outside edge when they are 6mm they are only just a month old!

let them do the job (and make more c*ock ups for you to use as ammunition) then kick off, but please please document everything and write down which guy you spoke to etc, date and time. its no good saying "the fellar at the service desk told me my corolla should have 5 wheels" if you cant provide his name or other identifying info they'll not believe you.

also i find when kicking off polite letters to the correct people will get your cause further than a whole day at the dealership screaming in some poor new guy's face.

the difference in toyota dealership knowledge/level of service is not good!

it sounds like u have a dodgy release bearing ..... however another issue we have seen in australia is the retainer springs in the clutch also being noisey and not upto the high revs of the t-sport and over time start to rattle a little and make noises ...... as stated by others make note of everything done and who did it and be sure to press ur case that this isnt normal and no it should not be happening
