Auris Water Pump

Has anyone else had this problem?

I have a 3 door 1.6 MMT 2007

Have just done 42,00 miles serviced by Toyota am now 2/3 weeks out of warranty and have had a bearing in the water pump go.

Toyota are not interested, have to pay £255 for a new pump. My local garage tell me they are using a new redesigned pump.

Have had to leave car in overnight as the bolts are different and they had none in stock???No chance of a courtesy car

This is my first Toyota, am pleased with the car but I thought Toyota had a reputation of reliabity ?? and fair play

Do others think Toyota's standards are slipping?

My pump displayed some water leakage, and after some "rigorous" discussions and the fact I had bought the extended warranty (who did not want to know anything about it...) Toyota UK accepted the claim on the basis that the fault must have initiated during the initial 3yr warranty period.

Perhaps an escalation process is required and a polite letter to Customer services might help.

Good luck with customer service.

Joke of a name if you ask me.

Should be called Customer F*** off.

Useless but good luck.

Forget about the good old days when they were proud of the product.

The current advertising campaign is quite frankly a joke.

Still a lot better than most of the opposition though.

Toyoto Customer Service

Paid my bill at my local Toyoto £253, but complained , was given Toyoto Customer Service number.

Phoned them straight away. Must be honest they where very good, said that they could do something. GHad to contact my garage and give them a reference number. Result was Toyoto paid for part and labour andd I paid £31 for coolant.

My first dealing with Toyoto and have to say I'm am impreessed this time?

Time will tell in the future
