Hi all,

I am absolutely infuriated and panicked by my car!

I have a Nov 59 plate Toyota IQ2 with smart entry locks.

on Friday night I went to get into my car and could not! The red light was working on my key fob but I still could not access the car.

I then took out the mechnical key from the fob and this STILL would not OPEN my car!

...fast forward and it's Sunday now and I still cannot get into the car. I cannot find a !Removed! car fob Battery anywhere! They seem very specialist.

ARGHHHHHHHHHHH! Any ideas?

What about Club Toyota?

Hi there fozzy, thanks for your reply. I have had to resort to club toyota aa!

Hopefully they can save the day.

Sounds like it might be a flat Battery somehow! No idea how as I did not leave lights or engine on!

I'm paranoid about my batteries.

I always carry a spare in the car, and another in my wallet!

Have a Google for watch batteries. You'll find several sites that specialise, and will charge just a couple of quid plus first class post.

the reason that it won't unlock with manual key is down to the double locking feature, manual key will only work with car that is not deadlocked. I've had this issue once but used my spare fob and all worked okay but if the issue is with the car Battery, dealer?!
