I need to have the N/S CV Gaitor changed on my 1.8 Avensis '54' plate.

The question is how much will it cost at the garage or do I tackle the job myself and how do I do it.

hi,

changing a cv gaitor isn't the hardest job to do, but you will need some special tools ie: circlip pliers, a garage should charge about a hours labour £40-55 to do the job, and the new gaitor costing £5-10 from any car shop, no need to pay main dealer labour prices for this job, any high street garage will do.
