Hey all,

Havent quite mastered this site yet, however here it goes. I have a new AYGO blue 2010. I was driving to work and got cut up by a driver in a L200 I pressed the horn and well its not great!! Also I want some banded steels for my AYGO so any ideas on max width or any things to watch for? Also can I put on aftermarket lowering springs without voiding warranty or do I have to go down the line of Toyotas TTE line?

Regards

Paddy

Toyota says that six inches is the maximum width for rims. This turns out to

be quite accurate, as I've heard of people running 6,5's with MANY problems...

As for the horn, fit a beefier one. I installed a Truckers Air Horn in mine :D

This is mine:

I installed a small switch, hidden near the adjuster-release for the steering column, so I can choos which horn makes noise...

You're kidding?! I've finally received my new 15" rims, which is 6,5 :(

What sort of problems are we talking about?

Rubbing on the front swaybar when turning at allmost full lock and in the rear the tyres

tend to rub on the fuel filler neck, especially when the offset for the wheels is too low.

And with a 5dr Peugeot 107 or Citroën C1 it's even worse, as they have double plating in the

rear arches to accomodate the rear doors. Luckily the Aygo does not have this problem...

The specifications for my new rims are 6,5X15 ANZIO ULTRA 4X100 ET 38

I'll be using 195/45-15 tires on them.

If only I had asked the Aygo Club for their opinions before I ordered them..... I'll be sure to remember it next time ;) So then there's no more turning at full lock on the front wheels until the winter tyres are on and equipped!

To be fair, the Aygo has that problem if you put 5 large blokes in it anyway

(When they say it's only rated for 4 people, they really mean it! )
