Hi, I bought a rav4 from an auction last week. I love it but I think it's been used as a kennel. It smells SO badly of wet dog I feel sick when I drive. I've had it valeted and all the upholstery is clean but the smell lingers on....

Any tips would be appreciated. I'm thinking of replacing the seats so even a good supplier of spare parts would help.

Thanks, Lee

Maybe its just the valeting thats making the seats smell. They probably valeted it before auction. I did mine myself 3 weeks ago and the windows are still steaming up due to the dampness thats deep in the seat cushions and thick carpets

Here is a good tip, take a medium sized bag of cat litter, lay it down, split it length ways,

allow the litter to be exposed, and in about a week all dampness and odours are gone.

make sure you get the odour reducing type.

Give it a try, it really does work!!
