Yaris Remote Central Locking

Hi Guys

Can anyone help.A friend of mine has a 53 plate yaris and the remote central locking just stopped working,They fitted a new Battery and also put a new Battery in the spare key but neither will operate the central locking(car starts fine)Using a toyota inteligent tester I erased the code from the key and reprogrammed it but it wont operate the central locking.Im not sure if the batterys had gone when they were replaced or if the receiver is broken.I cant seem to find any info on this anywhere on the internet.

You probably need to recode the key.. Search for the instructions on this site...

I thought thats what I was doing by erasing and reprogramming.

Whats RTFM mean?
