Hi all,

I recently fitted a new lock set to my '94 Corolla GXi and all was working well until today.

When i went to unlock the car the key just turned freely in the drivers door without catching the lock so i tried it in the passenger door which triggered the alarm. The alarm seems to be controlled by the locking/unlocking action of the key as none of the keys contain chips but when i turn the key in the door lock a red light between the front seats marked 'Toyota Security' usually flashes then goes off but now it doesnt light at all and the car cant be locked except via the switch on the drivers door. Does anyone have any idea what might be the cause of this problem?? Thanks.
