I just changed my toyota camry xle 2007 Battery and the glass breakage sensor will not activate

the owners guide was followed and I pressed the lock button on the remote control

then I waited 30 seconds until the LED began to flash

then with the tip of a key I tapped the center of the driver's door window

no warn away signal was activated. I tried this again but to no avAIL.

WHAT IS THE SECRET TO REACTIVATION
