Rav4 Drive Shaft Noise

I have a 2004 Rav4 XT petrol. When the car is under very light acceleration I can hear a sort of grinding noise in the background. It seems to go away when I accelerate harder. I am guessing its drive shaft related. Anybody got any ideas?

To misunderstood.

Maybe a possible wheel bearing, but that would make a constant rumbling sound. Should you find that your fault is with your half/shafts, you may wish to try www.driveshaftstore.co.uk for possible replacement shaft. You will save a fortune over Toyota prices. Maybe other forum members will come forward with other suggestions.
