I have recently purchased a glanza v and it has stareted to release a thick cloud now and again of light grey smoke. I'm not too sure if it's my turbo or not. If anyone has had the same problem or know about this problem would be greatful for some advice.

Many thanks.

It happens randomly when just been run for 10 minutes or when run for an hour. It also has a plastic burning smell to it as well.

Hmmmm very strange, if it was turbo then you would expect it to be on boost and with a blueish tint

Is it using any oil or water? Could be water from head gasket failure

Check your tank then mate. Fill it just above half to see if it leaks from the seems. Mine was slowly leaking and going onto the exhaust. Smelled like a go kart and gave the white/grey smoke out the back!

It only takes one drop to land on a really hot exhuast and you could be gone!

If it's the tank then don't drive it anymore, tow it to a garage and get a new tank!

Ok then I will try that, it may explain me getting 200miles to the tank aswell.

Just a quickie i have tried a fuel tank fix kit from my local autofactors (less than a tenner), with great success.

It might be worth a try depending how rusty your tank is? Short term fix while you locate a tank.

Mine was leaking on the flat bit on top n/s from the filler neck.
