I cant say reading Max Power is such a big deal to be honest, most cars aren’t to my taste in there but each to there own. I will look out for this Yaris though!

I have to admit I DO read max power and even redline...mainly to check out any new mods that are coming out for the Yaris...just cos i read it doesnt mean im gonna put a 'On a mission' sticker on my back window and act like a n*b.......its a bit like the Skoda name...the name sticks no matter what even though Skodas are fairly decent nowadays

Mate, sorry to say it, but if you don't read Max Power, you ARE missing out... this month's got stuff from Tipperary drifting, Tokyo Auto Salon (loads more coverage than even Banzai magazine) as well as a couple of hot Scoobs and various cool-as-**** tuning bits (adjustable Tein )

Just 'cos it's also found on the parcel shelf of many a bodykitted Astra 1.4LS doesn't mean you should cut your nose off to spite your face! :P :D

EDIT: Almost forgot the awesome new-shape 300bhp wide-arched Celica...

The last time I picked up a copy of Max Power to have a flick, it struck me as a glorified softcore !Removed! mag, with a couple of modded Saxo's etc...

They'd never feature a Lexus, advertise tuning stuff for a Lex, and I have a girlfriend, so, to be honest, I dont think Im missing out at all....

Possibly clicked the wrong 'quote' button?

No, what I think he was saying was Chrisb was being very judgemental in saying that members of this board couldnt afford a majority of the cars in max power....

I paid 17 grand for mine, and im pretty sure i could get 50% of this months cars for that amount of money..

True, true. Apart from the company Skylines and Supras pumping like £50 grand into them, most cars in there are easily affordable.

No problem with Max Power, apart from the Saxo's and Corsa's repeating themeselves every other issue. It is much easier to view wheels and contacts i find.

Ah well.

Off to buy Playboy..........or Club?............

i read max power every now and then because i find they are very good with the new products and the advertisements especially for ICE are very good!

i dont condone the soft !Removed! at all as i think its gone down hill but they do show some pretty unique vehicles and are normally the first in UK to show off the new kits and bit from the likes of Wings West and all that.

The jap coverage they do is good aswell

I know im gonna get slated but never mind!

And wot about Zee bein on the Website????????????

Slate :bye: For what mate. Whats wrong with reading a mag mate. I have brought a few max power mags in my time and i dont really see whats wrong with them. Well ok perhaps there a bit to much naked flesh but hey I'm a man and it's all gravy as they say :P

And you do get to see some really nice modded cars in there. And the mag does have some good sections on ICE and ALLOY WHEELS as well. And they do give away free gifts not like banzai and Japanese performance. I think this month in max power they are giving away fire fly's. Cool if you are into that.

i actualy posted the response in the yaris forum and i dont think there is a yaris that costs 17k,most cover cars in there will cost as much as a house,

for example

sumo skyline!1000bhp doesnt come cheap!

250grand 350Z

jamie shaws TVR

not cheap, i wouldnt have thought so anyway!

i agree with the point that a fair bit of it is repetitive but i also think it is informative and a good read

as well as a couple of hot Scoobs

pah, scoobs are slow. even my car can out grip, out accelerate, out corner and pretty much out everything a standard uk scoob can do. except i can't out accelerate the p1.
