Interior Light

When I open the door in my car or unlock it late at night, it doesn't light up the interior or anything just stays completely dark

I know all my previous cars have lit up... does the Auris?

i suppoee the intrior light is not turned off,as it has a 3 position switch.

does it work when you open the front passenger door.

if not go for the bulb.

if yes the door switch could be failing to earth when open,the switch is under a rubber cover at the rear of door frame, it could be sticking and not making a good contact.

Hey sorry I worked it out

normally in most of my cars the switch for On/Off/Door has been the light right near above the center console not the one in the middle of the roof... realised its by there in the Auris so it's all ok now :) lol silly me!
