2 Year Service

Just phoned Toyota Bracknell for my 2 year service (still only done 6k miles though), and got quoted just over £200. I am very glad I spent the £279 when I bought the car to get the 3 year Toyota Service Plan instead.

But are these people having a laugh? Who in their right minds will go to the at those sort of costs?

For a comparison I just googled 'fixed cost servicing' and found Honda do a 4 year plan for £500.

Quite right mate - always makes me chuckle that when buying a car people are offered a fixed price service plan but the prevailing thought is that it is a scam. The when it comes to paying for each service the eternal hunt begins for 'Is this a good price?' or 'Is this expensive?' - you just can't win.

People should put more thought into these things and, if the figures add up, stop being cheap and buy the service package.

I paid £500 for 5 services, including x2 MOTs, which I think is excellent VFM :)
