Run Flat Tyres - Any Other Option?

Hello. I've got at question about run flat tyres. My Dad recently bought and 08 Rav 4 with run flats and no spare wheel on the boot. Although he's really happy with the Rav he's getting really worried about the cost of replacing the tyres when they're worn down and is wondering if he can just buy normal tyres and carry a spare? Does anyone know if this is possible or can suggest something else he can try?

Thanks for your time.

Various owners have taken different approaches. Doubtless they will advise accordingly when they login.

I hope your Dad finds a solution that suits
