I don't think it is under the bonnnet, i've never seen it on mine.

Maybe it's in the fuel tank or on the fuel lines under the rear of the car?

Sorry but i've never changed mine so i'm just guessing. Definately think it's NOT under the bonnet though.

I'm sure it's in the fuel tank and is a non serviceable part. Why change it? Did you put diesel through a petrol car?

If its petrol it doesnt have a servicable fuel filter, its in the tank as part of the fuel pump. If its a diesel, I (think) its mounted up on the bulkhead

Kingo

Kingo is correct for a diesel. On belt side of engine mounted just below front suspension strut.

Petrol? None

The petrol Yaris/Vitz does have a filter, it's located in the fuel tank and it is a changeable part (though best done by someone who knows what they are doing) or if you're feeling 'gungho' you can do it yourself, just remember to have an empty tank when you start

Will see if I can find a 'walk through' for you somewhere :D

Here's one for an 07, but system should be the same http://www.scribd.com/doc/8678420/2007-Toyota-Yaris-Repair-Manual-08-Fuel-System

So for a petrol its an intake fuel filter, ive done one of those before.

Where is he fuel filter located on 1.4 2007 diesel?, and is it easy to replace?

Cheers

Parts-King has already said it's mounted on the bulkhead for Diesels. ;)
