Front Screen Washer Not Working

This is odd ?

The wipers and front and rear washers are on Fuse 14.

The rear washer is working but the front is not.

Is there a pump for each or a single pump serving both.

Model is Yaris T3 MMT 3 door 55 reg.

Also how do you get access to the washer bottle lower area. Do the mudguard inners pull off ?

Thank you

Single pump.

You must have a broken or choked line.

The plastic wing liners are held on with plastic fixers which unscrew...

Silly question, but I assume you have stuck a pin in the holes to make sure they are not clogged with dirt or polish??

Thanks for the info. Yes I checked the nozzles.

Got the Inner Mudguard liner out but the plastic fittings just crumbled away.

I can now see there are two pumps but thanks for the drawing.

My local helpful garage ordered one from Toyota. He said it is the most expensive washer motor he has had to buy at £67.

Hey guys, I have the exact same problem the other halfs yaris which is a 53 plate 1.0 vvti. Is it the same pump part as the one listed here as I am having real bother trying to source a part that does not cost so much that it makes me want to cry. Also to clarify is it a pump or a motor as this seem to be a point of confusion talking to people.

Many thanks.

is this a common fault??

Mine is a 55 1ltr vvt MMT.and guess what!!

the front screen wash has gone!!

the local dealer quoted £82 approx, asked for discount,he then offered it for about £75 !!! LOL

a local factor advised fitting a universal pump in the line, leave the original in place, cost about a £10,just add the wires to the existing cables.

what do you think??

John.

ok,after a lot of research this seems to be a common fault.

s/hand spares seem about £40 with one month g/tee.

new pump about £83 including tax, with a little pressure got it reduced to mid £76.

the dealer this he sells about one a month,!!!!

so much for the famous reliabilty

and fitting it ook about 40mins,jack the OS front up,remeve wheeland inner lining, fairly easy to get to,

thanks

John

Did the wipers work when the pump wasn't working?

my daughter's '04 plate 1.3 Yaris is having a similar problem - rear wash/wipe works perfectly, but the front does nothing when you pull the lever back, there is no pump noise but the wipers don't move either.

@MaximXLP if the washers and wipers don’t work then look towards the fuse or the stalk not the washer motor.
