2003 Toyota Avensis 2.0 D4-D Vermont 5Dr Diesel

Dear Friends, I am planning to buy 2003 TOYOTA AVENSIS 2.0 D4-D Vermont 5dr Diesel Can you please give me your valuable suggestions on this car and model. I haven't got much knowledge of cars. I already got Mazda 626 and I am planning to change that. My main idea is less maintenance, relaible and economy. I am not really fond of style, look and feel etc... The car has run about 63K miles I would be really interested to see how reliable these cars are and what else do I need to watch for. I was told that even we need to replace the head bulbs we need to remove the front bumper etc. is that true? Please suggest whether to go ahead and if so, how much I can spend on this 2003 TOYOTA AVENSIS 2.0 D4-D Vermont 5dr Diesel Thank you
