'93 Paseo- need help with swap info

I bought a '93 paseo with the hopes that I'd be able to fix it and make it faster, easier said than done. Living in Maryland makes it even more difficult to find parts, and upgrades. I've been getting nothing but laughs when attempting to find anything for my car. Anyway, I found an engine from a Starlet, the shop tells me it's a 1.6L intercooled, turbo. The engine code they gave me was 5E-FE. When I tried to seach around for and upgraded ECU I found out that isn't the right code. Basically, I need to know more about the Starlet engine I'm looking at, and any information about retailers that have parts available for Paseos' and Starlets'.

5E-FE is what you've got! ie a 1496cc normally aspirated engine

You want a 4E-FTE - 1300cc 135bhp Starlet Turbo Engine

You can fit other engines, eg 1600 Supercharged from MR2 etc., but harder to convert as the engine mountings, sensors, wiring all has to be changed.

Thats right its the 5E-FE in the Paseo.

If you need any help with you're Paseo check out www.paseopimp.com, loads of people have modified 1st gen Paseos on there, click on forum & post a question for more help. :)
