I've got a G6R and looking to modify it a bit, I'm hoping some of you could help me get what I want. I'm not going too extreme just yet like an engine change I'd just like a few bits for now.

First of all, I'd like an air filter the standard box isn't doing it for me, could someone please advise a nice air filter, not too expensive. I'd also like to get my hands on covers for the rear lights preferably in black. I'm sure you've all seen pictures but heres one, http://www.designercars.dk/biler/Toyota-model-30.jpg

Also, clear side repeater covers. I'm not sure whether or not I'd be able to stick universal ones on, please could you advise.

And, I know.. sorry, I'm in need of brake pads and discs all around, wheres the best and preferably cheapest place to get them?

I'll be attempting to spray paint the calipers while I'm at it

I'm in England.

As regards the repeaters I think that you can get from an E12 the white ones. (they come as standard in E12s).

thanks mate.

Can anyone please help me with the other parts I'm in need of?

i can recommend apexi (open) air filters, you can get universal filters on eBay

but you`ll need an airflow sensor adaptor, you can get these in some "car" shops

here is one example

and you can get rear ligth covers from this danish site

K&N do good filters and I have a GREEN filter on my GTi which gives a pornographically good sound: (00:03 - 00:07) rest is of it idling badly :P

Are you looking just for standard brakes then?

I get a lot of parts like that from these two sites:

europerformance.co.uk

Fensport

EXS, I was looking at the electronic cable connected to the air filter box. Is the option above given the easiest?

Those rear covers are 500 odd quid! 795 USD are they being serious? Is states it in USD, surely thats got to be wrong. Is there anywhere cheaper? if not, would a custom car designer garage be a cheaper option?

KPARRIS-JONES, K&N are well known and my first option was them but I've looked around and some seem to prefer mushroom filters and so on, I'm a bit confused. The engine doesn't sound like a beast at the moment and with it only having 100 odd brake I need to make it sound as good as possible although I don't want to turn into an all talk no action, flop car if that makes any sense.

Those links are appreciated mate, thank you. Looks like I'll be spending around 150 on pads and discs.

Ok I get exactly what you mean. I have the same trouble with my Renault Clio, it's so hard to mod without looking like a ChavMobile....

Well, mushroom filters are really expensive and I have no idea why, HKS sell some for like £300 which is lunacy.

Any filter will make it sound more throaty and a little tougher but it doesn't draw attention. An exhaust would do that, but you'll be fine with any filter tbh.

ok, thanks again KPARRIS-JONES

I'm getting annoyed with my headlights well the seals, they keep moving about. Could I put sealant around the headlight itself and place the seal on top?

And I'd like your personal view, do any of you really like the round eye look (headlights)?

No problem mate. :)

I am not a fan of the bug-eye headlamps. See if you can tighten the retaining bolts on it. They may have come loose.

That's exactly what I did with mine - I used clear silicone. Make sure that both the glass and the rubber are very clean before you start or they'll come back off before you know it. Be sparing with the sealant it's a pig trying to remove the excess.
