Always 3 mph over bumps! People often think I'm ridiculous for taking it so slow, I don't care!

My car is now 7 yrs old, 50,500 miles

Just hads its MOT and passed , and still the original ARB's

and so they should,i would expect it them to last at least double that,my last two vw did.one was 15 year old.

if my auris bushes needing changing at 50500 miles i would want to know why.

the passat only failed one mot,the last before selling it with a rusty brake pipe.

To be fair, Yaris' have a huge problem with these bushes. A quick search on the forum will no doubt turn up numerous topics! :D

Beat you! Mine's 10yrs old, never failed an MOT yet and still on the original ARB's!

I'm curious how long the things will last!

Ours was 9 years old with 64000 miles on it when we sold it and it too never had any issues with ARB....

(I wonder if its another Jappie versus Frenchie issue?....)

Mine had an MOT 3yrs ago and came back with a warning that it has pershied ARB'S

Well, I done nothing about it and 3yrs later had no more warnings.

So , dont worry if you see them perished, its only the outer bit, it's the inside that counts.

A lot depends on the raods and how you drive.

Lots of potholes and speedhumps: bad news for ARBs.

Drive fast round corners, on country roads with rough surfaces.. or corner hard, or brake hard all the time .. and bushes under continual stress.

Mine average 3 years... I don't drive that hard but country roads and speedhumps take their toll..

And mine is Japan built..
