I think my MR2 n/a is group 15 or 16

If you check Parkers price guide (magazine/book or online), they always quote insurance groups.

I believe my car is group 17.

I don't think all the insurance companies use the same system as Norwhich Union had some wierd letter thing, and it didn't tally up with the parkers groups.

15 apparently.

But it's an import.

Soon to be an import with a huge list of modifications too.

Project "make a stealthy turbo G Limited" begins...

my car's group 10

i remember researching this - AE92 GTi's are group 14. for some reason, it jumped 4 groups higher than the AE82 (the only one i could come up with, was that it was officially called the GTi-16, as opposed to the GT as before  )

I know how u feel mate... I'm on the same boat!!!! one of these days I'll reckon it'll sink, too many of us import guys are unfairly priced (especially the ones that have cars that are the same spec as UK ones, but just cos they have an import the price goes up :ffs: )

Group 11 on the Avensis (1998 1.8 GS Saloon).

I can't beleive my "old man"/"Taxi Driver" car is the in a higher group than a Corolla GTi

Oh, and the Insurance is £400 a year Fully comp. From looking on here that's good, but I want the £100 a year my mum pays on her Polo!!!

My last car (P reg Punto) cost me that to buy!

Bizarrely every time I've gotten insurance it always seems to cost about the same (around £500ish +/- £100). Still every year it's getting less. I just can't wait till it's around £300. Then I'll be V.Happy :D
