They need to be good mechanics to swap the innards of the box into a brand new casing.

What have they decided?

It's at a gearbox specialist (seeemingly) at the moment and from what I understand, the whole gearbox is getting done.

Bell housing is one thing.... frankly we found that any bother with the gearbox was far cheaper fixed by bolting in a 2nd hand box which is what we did with number 2 RAV. Stripping a gearbox is time-consuming and expensive.

Firstly, hello from me, first post!

Secondly, bought a Rav just under 3 weeks ago, wheel bearing went which was covered under my 3 month warranty but now the following have all went too:-

* Advise Exhaust (including Gaskets) Cracked & Leaking

* Front Brake Pads & Discs (worn & corroded)

* Rear Brake Pads & Discs (worn & corroded)

* Advise Rear Caliper Pins Corrorded To Excess (may also require further parts)

* Advise Clutch & Dual Mass Flywheel (noisey & rattling)

* Rear Transfer Seal Leaking

Been quoted over £3,500 from Toyota (via their 'free' Visual Safety Report). Will all of this be covered by the warranty? If not, what rights do I have!?!

Main Dealers really are 'Over the Top' there are many other Toyota Specialist charging half the price, I stopped using main dealers after I needed a replacement ignition key, they were charging such an amount that I personally considered a 'Total Rip off' I actually got it thro this website for 5 times lower than the Main dealer asking price.

Do not be put off with the Main Dealer Price if your supplier does not rectify go elsewhere.

Thanks,

Craig.

Got the car back on Tuesday night. Was sooo smooth but now I'm feeling like the clutch is making a tiny noise when changing gear above say, 20mph. I'm just putting it down to me being way over-cautious but I'll DEFO be keeping my eye on it! The engine is smoother too though, !Removed! should be after all the work done on it!
