Hi

My compressor is also slightly noisy from that area, more so when hot, dont know myself if its normal because only got mine a few months ago. My best guess is that the oil is thinner when hotter so things sound noisier. But i am keeping an eye on it, or ear, in this case.

its not as you set of its easier to hear when hot and at idle slightly goes of as revs go up

HAving listened to the noise on my compressor again it sounds like the noise is coming from the super charger, going to check the oil ASAP, plenty of people having issues with them running dry and they are pricey to replace. Will let you know if topping it up makes noise go away

I've got exactly the same on mine sounds a lot louder at 4000rpm and it's definatley coming from the top of the engine, is your lift affected?

NOw checked Super charger oil, there was some in there, but not showing on the dipstick! Ordered some from eBay america. Hopefully this will make the noise quieten down.

Lift seems to be fine, cant hear any strange noise at 4000 rpm either, worth getting your s/c oil checked.

Already done that, even changed the oil for fresh and still same. I would understand if I abused it but it gets everything! I wondered if there was an engine specialist for the 2zz-ge engine about?

i don,t think the noise is from the supercharger but the best way to check and eliminate the supercharger is to take the belt of and if the noise is still there then its on the engine .
