You surely must have an automotive paint supplier nearby.... go in and ask their advice as they are a great source of knowledge thumbsup.gif

Well I get a lot of my stuff from Halfords in the way of paint. However I would get wheels powder coated or done professionally rather than doing it myself.

Think a few people have had their wheels powder coated with good results

Hows this for a can finish?

All it takes is time and patience. Make sure to prep it well.

Wet n Dry the current layer off as much as you can. If you take it back to bare metal you need to get ETCH PRIMER, so that it bonds to the metal well. Possibly need 2-4 cans of this considering they come is 300-500ml cans.

No more than 2 coats of Primer though!!....Then softly wet n dry it for a smooth finish.

Prep Stage 2

Dependant on paint, you can get them online from eBay, where i normally get my ones from to do my alloys, for about £35 you can get 6 cans of paint or something similar.

With the rattle can stage of painting. Again, no more than 2 coats of the stuff, otherwise you will not get maximum shine/gloss.

Stage 3

With lacquor, spray in light mists, not too much though, otherwise it will start to run. Always spray abit away from your work surface and immediately move it to your alloys but mist it on.

You might only possibly need 1 or maybe 2 cans of that.

Then when its dried out, flatten the lacquor with 2500 grit paper and polish for ultimate finish Yes

Hope this helps you dude.

Best to goto a specialist crowd like TSW and get them done properly...or just leave them standard, as they will definitely look better that way!
