Steel Wheels

Recommended Posts

I'm considering fitting a set of steel wheels and winter tyres to out XT-R.

Does anyone know if there are readily available suitable sized steel wheels available from Mr. T 17'' with the correct offset?

I would suggest you contact Parts_King to see if he can do you a better price if you want to go the Mr T route. Doubtless there are aftermarket wheels available though.

you'll probably find that its cheaper to buy a set of alloys.

Some of the alloy wheel sellers may sell you a 2nd hand/used set of alloys which are fit for purpose....I've done that twice.

Just a thought, but if you're buying new rims specifically for winter tyres you could take advantage of the common accord that smaller rims carrying narrow tyres with deeper profiles perform better in snow and ice.

I bought a set of 17" XTR wheels for winter for my T180. I have just ordered 4 Vredestein Wintrac4's and they should be here by the weekend
