Easy but mucky job, needs a can of carb cleaner, a box of latex gloves , loads of paper towls & an old toothbrush! (Be careful with the gaskets when you take it off).

What probs u having with your car. Had mine done last week didnt make a differance on my economy,

but made alot of differance on the performance.

Hi thank you for the help. the problem i have is the power loss problem and when ticking over the engine sounds uneven on the revs. read about these problems and some said about cleaning the valve. just thought is cant hurt giving it a clean. the car has done 70k

Its a good place to start & you can DIY. Ask the dealer to do it & you're going to get a £75+ bill.

Try not to drop too much of the cack down into the manifold though - just go slowly and scoop it out. Don't over tighten the bolts when you put it back together.

Ye well worth doin will make a lot of differance. I didnt do it my self i got a mechanic to do it he works for toyota and does a bit of work on the side, charged me £40 but i made sure he did a gud job.
