hi i bought a 2001 toyota corolla 1.4 vvti 16v at the weekend, i have never owned a toyotta before, i know the car needs some attention with minor things.

it has 150k on the clock, the car is very smooth, drives well and starts everytime.

is there any common faults i should be checking and does this car have a timing chain if so whats the cost of a replacement.

the only one problem i have with the car is the engine management light is on all the time, any thoughts on this, i was assured it was just a dodgy sensor.

have known loads of ppl with different makes of cars that they engine management lights are a bit sensitive.

as i say car runs fine but would very much likes any advice and specs on this car, so anybody help please.

thank you.
