Oil Changed

howdy, had my oil changed today with a standard toyota oil filter (or so i think, i dont know where to look to see if they is a new filter)

anyways, does the oil affect my temp gauge ? the thing i have noticed is that my temp gauge raises as it used to do, but then when it just passes the middle mark it seems to stop raising, then after 30-60 seconds it starts to carry on and sit just below the next mark (as it sits on our tsports when fully warmed up).

why does it seem to pause for a moment ? ive not noticed this before, would it be my oil or would it be my coolant ?

i noticed this on my compressor after i changed from toyota's own semi-synthetic oil to Mobil 1 fully synthetic (dunno if the difference is in the details lol) but after a week or so it was back to normal.

Changed my oil and filter 2 days back different oil this time used mobile super f.e fully synth.

My temp gauge never goes past half sits in the middle all the time once the car is warm, always has done since I have had the car thought this was the normal level for it.
