Trouble Code 13 Avensis 1,6 1999

The engine stops when it gets hot, it can then only be started again efter a cooling down period of at least half an hour.. Code 13 is shown, this is an RPM fault. Now the questioen is, where is the RPM signal generated, is it by the crankshaft pos. sensor, located next to the pulley. Or is it by the sensor located on top of the fly-wheel casing. Could there be a camshaft pos. sensor inside the distributor house. I can see that there is a rotating device with a slot, looks like a hall effect system. - Hoping for your help. - Jorgen

A sensor is fitted on top of the flywheel casing. Could it be the one giving the RPM information, or is it the other one located next to the crankshaft pulley. - Jorgen
