Paseo Gear Box Head Scratch

Hi there, I would really appreciate some help advice

I have had my paseo for about 4-5 months now and LOVE it lol, However it does have its little niggles, one being that it slips out of 5th but only when i put my foot down ( not racing about just in general) Now it stays in 5th if i hold it in and drives like normal ?

Do i need a total new gear box or is it fixable?

It sounds to me that the gearbox is a bit worn. I believe that it is less job to do if you buy a second hand gearbox instead of repairing the one you have.

Before you do these things you better try to change the gearbox oil. Sometimes a new oil make the gearbox to feel better than before. It is cheaper to change the oil than swapping gearboxes.

Thank you for your reply, i will certainly try that, however i do not hink it would solve the problem of the 5th gear but still good to know :)
