Following on from this thread, my wife and I have had 1 very happy year of motoring from our Rav4.

We bought a 2005 2l vvti 1yr ago with 49,000 miles and partial service history.

The below mods have been made

x Powerbulbs 50% brighter H4 bulbs

x Bosch Aero Front Wiper Blades

Faults had over the year

x squeal from nearside driveshaft seal (still making the noise but only when turning sharp right)

x parking sensors dont always work

Service-able items bought

x service

x front discs/pads/brake fluid change

x spark plugs

x 4 tyres

x front Wiper Blades

We have done 10,000 miles and averaged 29.4mpg over the last 12 months which I think is very good.

Now we are looking forward to a 2nd year of motoring and having moved house from Wakefield to Millhouse Green (nr Penistone, Sheffield) we are looking forward to a nice Snowy Winter :yahoo:

Great

I am currently 7 months into Rav4 ownership and would say it is the best all round car I have owned. Big plus points for me are space for family, dogs, push chairs, shopping...etc Good performance, comfort, toys, higher driving position and safety. I bought our Rav as a lifeline for the winter really living in the Highlands (near Aviemore) and as I purchased this car from my good old dad, I knew the car was reliable and he had a very good relationship with Toyota Inverness which is very important.

I have had the following to date

- bulbs upgrade

- 40K service

- EGR valve cleaned

- 17" XTR wheels and snow tyres

- New wipers

- MOT (which it cruised through)

- Heatshield maintenace caused by corrosion

- Underbody guard causing some problems, missing clips and loose

Wants

- Ipod connection

- Front guards

- Side steps

- New under body guard
