Dyno Tested My Corolla

Finally managed to dyno-test my corolla.

After oversizing the engine from 1.4L to 1.8L I was wondering what will be the output...

The result was more than satisfying considering that the ECU has not been programmed, and I am running on 4zz exhaust system and 4zz fuel injectors...

142 bhp at 6.500rpm and 17,5 kilograms of torque at 4.750rpm. :toast:

The two most interesting things after studying the diagrams are:

1) The lines (curves) are extremely(!) smooth even if the ECU is not re-programmed. It is like an OEM car! hehehe

2) The torque from low revs is surprising...! 14(!) kilograms of torgue at 2.000rpm(!) and 15(!) kilograms of torque at 2.500rpm(!)

If I change the exhaust system (i.e. install a larger exhaust manifold from an 1zz engine), install bigger fuel injectors and reprogram the ECU I suppose I will go over the 150bhp... But I do not know if it's worth it as this will increase consumption as well.

In any case the dyno result has left a smile on my face. :yahoo:

very nice indeed...

I'd get that ECU mapped ASAP, like you said though do you want to risk fuel consumption though? :-)

that's a jump of over 60hp!

That's pretty cool tbh.

I'd personally want to keep fuel consumption down as part of the reason I got my 'rolla was better fuel consumption than my previous car.

A jump of 45hp I would say (from 97 to 142)... and 4 kilograms of torque (from about 13 to 17+)...

Not bad...

And it still has more to give...

Congratulation.

My config is the same but I have the 4ZZ pistons.

How much time the 0-100 km/h ???

My Rolla about 9 sec.

I have not tested my 0-100 to be honest.. but I am guessing about 8 to 8,5 secs...

Have you dyno tested your car?

Have you dyno tested your car?

No. I only test it 0-100 km/h.

I faster than the Yaris TS.

What you use in yor car ?

Transmission ? Clutch ?

I use original C150 tranny and original 4ZZ cluch set and these working good.

All is 4zz and it is working just fine. I have only installed a TTE quick shift.
