hardly maintenance free, need a good vacuum, or air dusting every now and then.

anything you have to oil is a bad idea IMO especially with a toyota DENSO MAF.

the oil seems to bake onto the heated wire and its bye bye MAF.

I have a k&n, clean and oil it every couple of months, did it on monday actualy, never had any problems with my maf sensor apart from the wires pulling out of th plug haha. got the cleaner/oil kit off eBay, not very expensive. ask santa to bring you one

As I found out the hard way, and had to buy a MAF of you lol. I cleaned the crud out of my blitz occasionally, and since then I have bought a metal heatshield to go around my filter.

From where can we order that and how much does it cost?

KN vs APexi? What is your preference?

For me neither, I dont think the cost for the gain is justified but if I were to buy one it would definitely be Apex'i. I dont like oiled filters

I have already installed a KN panel in the airbox but I was wondering if one of the two is better (or any other brand like Green etc).
