Hiace Injector Knock

Evening Chaps, Just joined the forum, tried to pay my subs for messaging benefits but computer said no! Nevermind,

I'm hoping "goodison" wanders by to cast an eye over my issue......

I've got a 2005 2.5 d4d hiace van which has a tinny metallic injectorish knock which magically appears when warm. It's most pronounced when backing of from light throttle and can be quite loud. On tickover it sounds like a sewing machine (nice and quiet) but I'm interested to hear if anyone has experienced this type of symptom before and the cause/treatment. I'm dreading it being a "we've go to replace all the injectors" type bill. The main reason I went for a toyota was the bombproof reliability.

Any suggestions/opinions/experience most welcome

Kind regards

Ben Lord

hi Ben Lord !!!

do you know a total millage covered by your van ??

FYI -- the injector nozzle is considered normal consumable that is changed due to poor injection quality.

What do you have now???? -- it is definitely over fueling. Have all injectors removed and tested first. May be one or two have to be adjusted/polished a needle sealing circle.

Cheers/Igor
