Vredestein SnowTrac3 (I have the "2" on my car, 3's are the newest)

are pretty good. And they're Dutch, which is a pro for me too :P

Running Nokian WR G2s this winter and last.

The Aygo is not bad in the snow on standard tyres but putting winter tyres on makes it incredible. Great on snow, ice, slush and even during more normal winter weather. Have them on Nov to April- they are actually quieter and more comfortable riding than the rock-hard OEM continentals that came with the car(they will be going back on in April).

Difficult to source good range of winter tyres in the UK anyway, but you have really left it late and the prices have been heading up recently.

Got mine from www.mytyres.co.uk -they are based in Germany. Others have used www.tyres-pneus-online.co.uk again based abroad or www.reifen.com in Germany.

I can thoroughly recommend winter tyres.

I recommend also Nokian tyres, I have Nokian RSi winter tyres and they have been brilliant. Now with half a meter snow and temperatures going down to -25 degrees, roads have been extremely slippery. But no problems with Aygo!
