Subaru Bumper On An Ae92

Hey all,

Been a while since I posted up much here.

I have started looking more closely at the Subaru bumper and I noticed that miib14 had one on his Corolla 4 Door. I think it's off an STI turbo and I am looking at getting one off eBay.

I'll only do it if they are a direct bolt on and my Headlamps will fit.

This one is the bumper I am looking at, minus the grill:

So, does anyone know if they fit directly?

Thanks for any help,

KP

nope :( IIRC the bumper is wider than the rolla so needs to be spliced to fit also brackets need to be made to fit it to the car.

i know its old hat but the GXi bumper is a lot mre straight forward but has been done a few times now.

tis a shame there really isnt much in the way of kits for the gti

only place that ive found anything was here clicky but getting it sent here might be a bit difficult

Ive also wondered about the impreza bumper and one day im going to make a p1 bumper fit my corolla but not for

a long time if its that much effort! Those guys on the link make some good stuff, the f&f front bumper looks cheap in real life though! Theres a list of stuff I whant from those guys but they didint reply to my last email but the annoying thing is

I used to live 15mins drive from theyre main branch in Jo'burg! :crybaby:

New bumper on its way soon though! :yahoo:

I know right!? They're sweet, but because of the extra bodging I won't be doing that just yet. I need to keep my pennies for vital things. Such as a set of Koni Shocks and Springs for example :D

I think mine will be a looker anyway :D

the bumper is more or less a straight fit apart from !Removed! two screws in to the bumper either on both sides, as the subaru is abit wider than corolla.

im using the v 3/4 bumper

and a friend abroad in the us is using a v 5/6 bumper.. (going to change to this later on...)

thought there was a cut to be made

looks good, not sure how it lines up on the AE92 thogh as the wings need mods to get the 101 bumper on

no you dont have to but like i said 2 screws on either side of the bumper seemed to work, thats probz why someone cut it. it is roughly 1-2 inches wider than stock corolla bumper..
