HI

I'm the owner of a 1998 toyota picnic 2.2td. The engine and gearbox are toast, do to the mileage ( 350000km ). I would like to replace the engine with a petrol engine, and I been thinking about the 3sge beams blacktop. I don't want to put in the 3sgte turbo engine because it will get me into trouble with the Danish authority's, every 2'nd year when I have to get my MOT-test.

I would like to know if this conversion is possible? and what is need to make it happen? ( I work with electronics so wiring and stuff, won't be a problem. )

If so, witch gearbox will fit both the car and the engine?

Anything else I need to pay special attention to?

If you have a link to somebody that have done this operation ore something similar, I would be grateful if you would take the time to post it here.
