Black Radio Display

Hey experts, I need a hand with my Avensis!

A week before Christmas the radio display on my 2007 Toyota Avensis went black. The radio is still fully functional, as is the CD player, but the display is totally black- making it impossible to see channels, track names etc. Anybody come across this before? If so, any cheap way to fix it? I bought the car privately so I can't bring it back to the garage.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Hello frends,

A month ago I bought Toyota Avensis T25 2007 year with exactly the same problem with the radio/cd display. All the pixels are in black but the audio is working good.

Please share your experiance to help me solve that nasty problem.

backlight bulbs or faulty display?

The bachlight is O'K. The display pixels are all in black and there is a small perimeter around where can be seen light.
