Dmf - Anyone Used The Luk Kit

Sorry for invading from the Rav 4 forum, but we need to make a quick decision. My daughter has got a good price for replacing the DMF and clutch but it's for the LUK kit rather than genuine Toyota or the recommended Blueprint parts. Has anyone used the LUK kit and if so has it lasted a decent time?

Many thanks

Mike

hi mike.

if you go for a DMF its going to cost more than single mass f/wheel(SMF) the SMF will be more robust just like a normal clutch.there are other replies to your post on the RAV4 site by HEMI.i fitted many cluches to many types of vehicles in the past but never DMF (never had them then)all know about them is what ive read.

but as HEMI seems have the experiace of fitting them to many vehicles i would go along with his valuable advice, and go for the blueprint SMF.

Thanks Acetip. Understand what you are saying, but I'd still like to hear from anyone who has had the LUK kit fitted.

Thanks

Mike

You'll find that LUK and Sachs are standard (OE) fit on VW's an alot of other Cars from new. Very good tbh. I'd go for the LUK if its a good deal.
