Yeah, i like the contrast of the dark windows with the white paint.

You can get a genuine toyota glovebox on eBay for about £25 delivered. Clips into place in about 10 seconds, have one in my aygo+

Not sure it looks any good in white personally, be a nightmare to keep clean. How much are you getting this car for, any good deals going?

Looks nice... I'm thinking about having my windows tinted. Anyone know what the standard price might be to have the back three windows tinted? If anyone has any idea?...

I got mine done in Yeovil to 20% light transmission for £150 ... lifetime guarantee :)

I did my rear windows for a £9 roll of tint off eBay.

Made a template of the rear windows and cut it out then cut out the tint about 3mm larger.

Washed and cleaned the windows then misted the window with very slightly soapy water.

Peeled the protective film off the tint and placed it onto the window and moved it around until the excess went behind the window surround and then squeegee out the excess water and any air bubbles.

Leave for five minutes

Any bits that raise up re squeegee and warm with a hair dryer.

1 hour later I had tinted rear windows.

Cheers that's helpful... I definitely want a proper job so I shall bear that figure in mind! And of course I bet it looks particularly good on the Black! :)

The glovebox lid has 2 clips & screws that hold it in - they dont just clip in. But still very easy to fit :)

Thanks for posting that! Very nice! Is that a longer rear wiper you've got too? And yeah mine's the same at the moment... I am ashamed. It needs a thoroughly good wash! But it's worth it...

Right, sorry to be taking this so off topic with my questions, but... with regards to the window tinting, do they normally attach the film to the inside or outside of the windows? Only because one place I've asked (which was recommended to me and seem to be alright), said it is applied to the outside of the window. This concerned me a little, only because it seems odd; surely the film is then exposed to bad weather, rain etc etc? Not to mention the fact that the Aygo has an all-glass tailgate, so it confused me as to how this would look overall... would they be removing the Toyota Badge etc?! But then other places I've noticed they fit it to the inside. Can anyone help from previous experience? Thanks :)

As far as I can tell with my Go the tint is applied to the inside of the screen, but before the heater elements are fitted (As in you can't see the elements from outside), I've never heard of tinting the outside of the window before though. I did my own tints on my Fiesta, and once you get the hang of it (be prepared to have a few gos if you aren't sure - lots of soapy water) it's not so bad, well unless you're trying to do a curved hatchback like a mondeo (they aren't fun to do).

Yeah I had a look at a GO in the showroom yesterday just to compare, and it's obviously more of a factory job. The one in the showroom was grey, very nice car, I bet you're happy with yours! The tints just seem to add a bit of class.

Oh yea, I'm not saying you shouldn't do just because it's not a GO, I'm not a snob lol

I was saying the opposite, if you fancy it, go buy a cheap roll of tint from your local boy racer type shop and have a go yourself, you may surprise yourself. The difference if you go 'pro' is that they should finish it with a gel coat on the edges to stop it peeling (important on windows that go up and down past seals, ie. the front windows). My tints on my Fezzy lasted ages though and I thought they were great, but you can tell the 'pro' ones with the gel coat from the DIY ones by the edges.

Also on that note don't forget - you're weren't allowed anything more than 10%-30% tint on the front side windows when I had my fezzy (a while ago now) but I think it's down to nothing but factory fit on the front (ie. no tints). Something to do with running over drunk people in the dark I was once told by a not-so friendly policeman.

So in conclusion (because I forgot my original point hehe)

Tints - go for it

Just don't do the front side windows (or windscreen, but I don't think you're daft enough to need mention that), it doesn't go down well with local enforcement (or drunk people apparently)

Tints are usually fitted on the inside of the glass.

Oh yeah I forgot to say also... I wouldn't let them fit it to the outside anyway because your wiper will just put scratches in it! I'd stay away from that particular offer, I don't think they know what they're talking about (I'll shut up now...)

Yeah that's what I thought! And the weather and everything. Maybe I wasn't listening properly :P but I think if I do go with the tints, I'll probably take my Toyota dealer up on their offer with their tint specialist. I would go and do it myself but I'd rather have a proper job made of it, I don't want to end up ruining my Aygo :P I saw another GO yesterday on the roads of Chester (grey again!) and it made me want tints even more! Hopefully I'll get them done soon, I'll pop some pictures up when it's all done! Thanks for the advice guys and sorry for hijacking the thread :toast:
