Specific title for the topic.

That does not limit anyone with detailed knowledge to participate.. :P :P

So...i did a search in forum's topics asocciated with THE clutch problem, and found almost

zero problems for MMT owners. Or not? -_-

Are there any ?

How did you sorted it out? :)

Miles on clock ?

Spares cost must be the same, but labour will be different due to MMT reprogamming/reseting.

I suspect that this is a job that can not be done to any workshop, but only IN Toyota dealers. What's your opinion + which ones our options -if there are any-? :driving:

My 2006 MMT 5D Aygo, has 75.000km on the clock, and have not experienced any trouble

from my clutch set. Works fine. Maintenance properly everything.

First thought is that MMT relievs clutch from hard work...

I''ll be glad to hear from other owners their thoughts + opinions + suggestions !

The only complaint I have about our MMT box on the Aygo is that it changes up too quickly! We (the wife and I) put this down to both of us being too gentle on the accelleration bit - we don't rush!

I actually drive it as a manual - but wife drives it as an auto... No problems so far, but it's only 6 months old (2500 miles) so I wouldn't expect any!!

2007 Aygo+ 23000 miles.

Touchwood, no problems yet.

Only slight niggle I have with mine is that of the gear ratios.

They are the same as the manual gearbox and I find that 2nd gear is

too tall. After a smooth take off in 1st, if you are driving on a light throttle,

when the 'box changes to 2nd, the engine can labour a bit.

^^^thats because it is a manual box.........

the mmt is a manual box with a few wiper motors on it

I'm aware of what the MMT is.

Kav asked......"I''ll be glad to hear from other owners their thoughts + opinions + suggestions !"

My opinion is......Perhaps the ratios chosen might have been better.

A lower 2nd gear would (in my opinion) be better however, it was probably not chosen for driveability,

it may have been chosen to facilitate a 0 - 60 time using 2 gears (one gear change) rather than 3 (2 gear changes)

thus making an Aygo appear quicker.

Possibly to improve fuel consumption figures?

My suggestion is......Lower 2nd gear ratio a little.

Ian.
