Diff Lock Light Flashing

Hi there guys,

This light keeps coming on and flashing. it come on when im going around corners and roundabouts.

Only goes away when i go past 4000rpm in 3rd gear... Than few minutes later will come on again.

Hello,

Well, that sign also appears when your little gearbox (reductor) is shifted to HL, N, or LL.

Try moving it back to H. If, however, your gearbox is already in H than you Diff.Lock switch is on.

In that case just turn it off.

Probably someone had changed it accidentally. It happens often in a car wash when they clean you car.

How do i turn it off? when i put it Auto box in N, then press the Diff lock button. the VSA light goes on solid and the other light becomes solid aswell.

then when i press it again the light VSA light goes off and the other light goes back to flashing. it only goes off when i drive fast in a straight line

Just, turn the engine on and while still on a parking move your little gearbox to H position.

If this is fine, check if your Diff.Lock button. It is placed on the right hand side of the steering wheel, a bit down.

(This is for left wheel drive. If you are from UK than just opposite)

When you turn off all this and put it back to normal, don't expect that the light will go off immediately.

This is why it is better for you to do it while standing in a place (to make sure that every thing is fine)

If this does not help, than ask your Toyota local service for help

I turned of the traction off and drove it reverse. its make a click noise. i stopped. turned the traction control on and the light went away :) happy days.

it coming only in the morning!!!
