Mate this is looking awesome

Im loving the front bumper - How did you smooth the number plate gap over ?

Well that was done last year, I went to a body shop for that.

I don't know how it's exactly called in English, but they kinda melted another piece of plastic in it ;)

Didn't dare to do it myself, because plastic bumpers aren't easy to smooth when u're not that good in it.

Fitted the console in the rolla, and it looks kinda nice IMO! :D

So I also started with some other things, like the frame where the gear knob comes out, and the panels around the window buttons:

Here a problem I had, the plastic screen where you read the airco settings from, started to shine out white

dscn3852dr.jpg

A simple solution, I took out another screen from my original console (i got 2 of them :P ), and did put it in the painted one.

And here the painted bumper lips under my original bumper (dirty  )

Oops, guess we have a change of plans :D

Decided to paint some more parts in car colour!

Piece around gearknob, DIN frame around the radio (not ventilation things), the pieces in the doors around the window buttons, the inside frame around the speedometer, and the small piece around the headlight height adjuster button (left next to the steering wheel).

So this is how my rolla looks for the moment

You can also paint the air-vents around the radiocd!

And/or the panel around the speedometer/rev-o-meter etc.

looking good, what I'd like to ask is how you removed the front lip?

If I remember well it is actually two parts and has 5 screws underneath. You unscrew these screws and then just un-clip it.

Noedel can confirm.

Hehe, I knew this would be posted :P

But I don't want to overload the interior with that colour, it would be too much I think.

The DIN frame will be enough above the console I think ;)

As madvinegar posted, there are about 7 screws who keep it tightened.

Unscrew them, and just click them out.

Take off the left one first, it also clicks into the right one in the middle ;)

In silver, to match the wheels. When they get a repaint, this will be done at the same time :P

Can I ask where you sourced the spare centre console from? Mine is broken. Well, the flap above the ashtray doesn't close! Going to take it apart at the weekend and see if I can fix it myself first.

I found it on the Dutch Corolla forum where I'm active.

Maybe the small spring, which makes that flap open and close, came out? :P

Here a picture:

This flap is held in place by two small plastic :crybaby: pins. One on the left and one on the right.

The usual problem that everyone is getting is that the left pin brakes...

It happened to me as well and I was very lucky that it was half-broken so I used some powerful glue to glue it back again, and now it is just fine and working like before (touch wood... ).

IMO 99% this would be the problem for you as well.

I have EXACTLY the same issue, but the little plastic 'pin' isn't holding the flap in place. Is there anyway to replace the pin?

Looking good with the centre console..

hummm, iam not sure.

i had a few interior bits colour coded inside my car untill last year and looking back now it didnt suit the car.

but my car is blue so the colour of your car is much more subtle and it may suit.

i just think that they would look class in carbon

where you going to fit the towing eye ?

Well, I'm just trying some stuff, because I had alot of paint left.

Normally I only planned to paint the bumperlips ;)

About the tow hook, at the front I'm going to try something through the under grill, because the original tow hook is under the engine :P

Edit: the remaining interior parts are already in primer.

Don't mind the black paint on them, that's to make sure they are 100% smooth when I scrub them a last time with fine sand paper ;)
